A 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday, January 12, 2010 near Port-Au-Prince in Haiti, affecting as many as 3 million people. ASTHO's thoughts and prayers are with those touched by this catastrophe.
Aid organizations such as the American Red Cross, Save the Children, and Partners in Health have set up emergency relief sites to provide urgently needed medical attention, food, safe drinking water, shelter and other necessities for tens of thousands of people. Your support can help meet the most critical needs of those affected by the earthquake.
Resources for Haiti Earthquake Response Efforts
The National Resource Center on Emergency Preparedness and Cultural Diversity serve as a central clearinghouse of resources and an information exchange portal to facilitate communication, networking and collaboration to improve preparedness, build resilience and eliminate disparities for culturally diverse communities across all phases of an emergency.
