Brochures
State law (O.C.G.A. 31-1-3.2) provides that "every licensed or certified hospital and physician shall educate the parents of newborn infants born in such hospitals of the importance of screening the hearing of newborn infants and follow-up care. To assist in this effort, DPH in conjunction with the SACNHS has developed and approved two Georgia-specific educational brochures for parents of newborns, "Have You Heard?" and "Georgia's Newborn Screening Tests". Copies are now available to hospitals, health departments, and interested others through DHR Central Supply.
